Assessment of slope stability during construction of transport tunnels in them

Abstract
An analytical method for calculating the stress state of a slope with either reinforced or unreinforced excavation that runs parallel to the inclined ground surface has been developed. The method is based on strict solutions to flat problems in the theory of elasticity and allows for the assessment of slope stability using the Coulomb-Mohr strength criterion. Computer modeling of the geomechanical system 'slope soil mass - underground structure' revealed patterns in the formation of zones of inelastic soil deformations near the excavation surface and on the free surface of the slope. This methodology increases the accuracy of stability assessments for slopes weakened by excavations.

Application of drainage structures in areas with active slope processes and low-bearing soils

Abstract
The article discusses technical solutions and methods for calculating the main water catchment structures of main drainage structures for construction in complex landslide-prone areas. Two designs are considered: the first is a trapezoidal profile on a natural base with a flexible concrete cover and retaining walls made of prefabricated concrete blocks filled with crushed stone; the second is an optimized design where the weak base is replaced with rock soil to a depth of 1.6 m, with retaining walls made of box gabions and Renault mattresses between them. The results of the calculations suggest that the second (optimized) design has the necessary stability.

Justification of the values of specific adhession of stabilized soils for calculation of pavements on the static loads

Abstract
Despite the fairly wide representation of soil stabilizers on the Russian market and current state standards for classifying stabilized soils depending on the obtained indicators of bearing capacity, there are still no standard values of mechanical properties of soils treated with stabilizers for calculating the strength of pavements. In this regard, the use of stabilized soils in the design of pavements is formally impossible, although regulatory regulators provide for such an opportunity to increase the bearing capacity of the working layer of the roadbed. The article continues a series of publications on ways to solve this problem. An analytical method is described for substantiating the calculated values of specific adhesion of cohesive soils stabilized together with cement under static load action for areas of long-term stay of vehicles.

Technical and economic assessment of snow drift control on highways

Abstract
The article presents the results of a technical and economic analysis of winter road maintenance, carried out on the basis of empirical data obtained from the Uyar branch of KRAYDEO JSC. The actual cost of maintaining one kilometer of the road network during the winter season is calculated. These costs are compared with an alternative approach — the installation of snow-deflecting structures. It is shown that despite high capital investment, such structures provide economic efficiency over their life cycle. An analysis of operational and financial characteristics was conducted, based on which a quantitative assessment of traditional costs was given and an alternative in the form of stationary snow protection systems was proposed.

Selection and study of emulsion-mineral mixture components for road surface repair using Microsurfacing technology

Abstract
The selection and study of components for emulsion-mineral mixes used in road surface repairs using the Microsurfacing technology is an important step in ensuring the quality and durability of roads. During the study, all stages of the technology were analyzed: from the preparation of raw materials to the preparation of the cast emulsion-mineral mix. Special attention was paid to the compatibility of the components and their ability to form a uniform and strong emulsion. As a result, an optimal mix composition was selected, which has been successfully applied in the repair of the road surface in one of the sections in Kazakhstan.

Advanced combined support in tunnel construction

Abstract
Data from modern foreign experience in the field of using combined advance support in the construction of tunnels using closed methods in difficult engineering and geological conditions are analyzed. The features of support in the form of protective screens made of perforated pipes, through which a stabilizing composition is injected into the soil mass, are considered. Examples of the use of this support in the construction of two large transport tunnels in Japan, a tunnel in Prague (Czech Republic) in the Austrian Alps, and the Venice metro station in Milan (Italy) are given. For each of these objects, a brief description of the technology for installing advanced combined support using microtunnel-boring complexes is given, as well as the sequence of tunneling under the protection of screens made of corrugated pipes in combination with a soil-cement curtain. The main advantages and disadvantages of the technology under consideration and the appropriate area of its application are noted. It is indicated that for the successful implementation of the technology under consideration in the practice of domestic tunnel construction, comprehensive theoretical and experimental studies should be carried out, based on the results of which the relevant regulatory documents should be adjusted.

Rapidly erected bridges of the 'Block Bridge' type

Abstract
The article discusses the development and design of quickly erected bridges of the 'Block Bridge' type. The focus is on creating a universal prefabricated structure that can be installed and dismantled quickly when necessary. The features of the design are described, including the use of weather-resistant steel 14ХГНДЦ and ordinary bolts without pre-tension. The economic aspects of using weather-resistant steel are analyzed, including reduced costs for painting and maintenance of the structure. The article will be useful for specialists in the field of bridge design and construction, as well as for researchers interested in innovative solutions in bridge engineering.
