Research into the process of cooling of cast asphalt concrete mixtures during road paving

On the basis of a mathematical model, the cooling rate of cast asphalt concrete mixtures is calculated for different versions of pavement structures. Dependingon the initial temperature of the mixture, air temperature and wind speed during the laying process, the time at which the required mobility of the mixture is provided is determined.

Durability of adhesive joints of bitumen in asphalt concrete

The possibility of prediction of durability of bitumen and its adhesive bonds with the help of thermofluctuational theory of strength has been substantiated. It has been theoretically and experimentally proved that the maximum adhesion strength of bitumen depends not only on the temperature in the process of material bonding, but also on its duration.

Testing of precast prestressed reinforced concrete beam 12 m long under precast-monolithic bridge spans

The preparation for bench tests of a precast prestressed reinforced concrete bridge girder designed for precast-monolithic spanning structure revealed the need to develop a special approach to the methodology, both in the calculation-theoretical pre-test analysis and for the test process itself. The test results made it possible to verify the calculations, which were especially important for testing the girder in the state of shipment from the factory, and to draw some important conclusions and recommendations for similar practical investigations of precast-monolithic bridge structures performance.

Special feature of calculating the strength of rigid airfield pavements

As a result of the study, the features of the application of this method for the airfield pavement made of reinforced concrete, designed for the load from the B-767-200-ER aircraft, were investigated. Based on the results of the calculation, the values of deflections and bending moments in the edge zone of the reinforced concrete slab were determined, and their diagrams were constructed for various applications of the aircraft support wheels. This study will make it possible to refine the transition coefficients used in the calculation of the strength of airfield pavements of a rigid type.

Improvement of slope stability of earth bed embankment from barchan sands

The article presents a calculation of the stability of the slopes of the embankment of an earthen bed made of sand dunes. Soil characteristics and earth bed design are taken from geotechnical reports and existing railway designs. Numerical model of earth bed embankment has been developed in Plaxis 2D software package. Stability calculations of earth bed slopes and full model deformations without and with reinforcement by geosynthetic materials have been performed. Comparative analysis of calculation results of two constructions was carried out. Theoretical calculations have shown advantages of application of geosynthetic materials for reinforcement of railway bed slopes.

The organization of work on the preparation of construction sites for the start of construction includes a wide range of organizational, technical and technological preparation activities carried out both during the preparatory period and during the entire period of construction and installation works, as well as the liquidation of the construction object. The nomenclature of temporary construction infrastructure of linear objects is described. The requirements for temporary construction infrastructure during the construction and reconstruction of linear facilities, justifying the availability of solutions for design, working and organizational and technological documentation, are considered.
